When Belgian food-tech startup Other Kinds launched at the Amsterdam Coffee Festival, they needed more than an exhibition stand. They needed an experience that would spark curiosity, give feedback, and start conversations about their new alternative to coffee. It's not coffee. It's not tea. It's roasted PEA. A caffeine-free cup of another kind.
Working from the creative concept developed by Sneakers Not Allowed, Linkon designed and built a sustainable, fully reusable exhibition setup that aligned with the bigger picture. The setup included a cardboard coffee counter designed for intensive use and a modular feedback totem with interchangeable message cards that encouraged visitors to share their thoughts and give valuble feedback for the team to take with them home after the show.

The stand was designed to do more than showcase a product. Visitors were invited to share their opinions, ask questions, and engage with the brand. At the heart of the activation was a modular feedback totem with interchangeable message cards.
The activation created a simple way to start conversations, gather feedback, and help visitors discover a new alternative to coffee in a hands-on and engaging way.
Designed for flexibility, transportability and low environmental impact, the project demonstrates how sustainable materials can support sustainable innovation.

Cardboard in a ruff industrial setting - it just works!
The Amsterdam Coffee Festival took place in the NDSM Loods, a former shipbuilding warehouse in Amsterdam North. The space is big, raw and full of history, with traces of its industrial past still very present.
Today it’s a place where makers, artists and events come together. That mix of rough edges and creative energy makes it a strong backdrop for exhibitions like this. The contrast between the industrial hall and the lightweight cardboard setup helped the stand stand out without trying too hard.
Simple, functional, and easy to reuse, the elements helped turn a sustainability story into an engaging experience while showing how cardboard can be used similar to traditional booth items with the benefit of being flatpacked.

World of Coffee Brussels 2026 is the European flagship trade show of the Specialty Coffee Association, bringing together coffee producers, roasters, equipment manufacturers, café operators, traders, and industry professionals. Scheduled for June 25–27, 2026, it marks the first time the event is being hosted in Belgium and is expected to serve as a major hub for business, education, innovation, and international networking within the specialty coffee sector.

Sneakers Not Allowed shaped the creative concept and activation idea, focusing on interaction, storytelling and brand experience. Linkon translated this into a physical, reusable exhibition setup, making sure the concept worked in a real festival environment.
From structure to materials and build, everything was developed to support the idea and make it work in practice on site. The result is a simple, hands-on collaboration where concept and execution come together.
