Nerdland Festival
Domein Puyenbroeck Wachtebeke / June 2025
At the 2025 Nerdland Festival – the largest science event in the Benelux – we had the pleasure of designing and staging the Jungle tent, one of the festival’s key themed areas. It featured a series of space dividers for the exhibitors with custom walls, jungle leaf cut-outs and nature-inspired details.
We also developed clear signage to guide visitors and enhance the overall experience. It brought playful structure and storytelling to the space.
During the festival visitors explored science and technology through workshops, experiments, talks, and live shows.

Layout of the space
The layout of the Jungle tent was divided into eight distinct zones, each further split into smaller stands. At the entrance, we created an inviting gateway structure that also served as a photobooth, welcoming visitors into the vibrant and immersive world of the Jungle tent
These elements, including the paneling, pillars and connectors along the walls and entrance are made entirely of Re-board cardboard.
Details and finishing
Each booth is built using pillars and walls made from cardboard, with jungle-inspired cutouts of leaves and trees at the edges, creating an immersive and eco-friendly rainforest atmosphere.
The Jungle Tent is a vibrant exploration zone filled with scientific experiments and technological marvels. Here, exhibitors like Volvo, Argenx, and University Leuven showcase life-saving medicines, invite you to walk among dinosaurs or investigate a staged crime scene.
Production & installation
The production of the Jungle Tent involved using large format printers for the printed parts, while cutting was done on a digital industrial cutting table. The installation was successfully completed in just 2 days, with the help of volunteers and the team from Big Bear Studio.
